Bakery Sales Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the bakery operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. Duties:
- Assist with the preparation and production of bakery items, including breads, pastries, and desserts
- Help with sales by providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with their bakery needs
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area
- Assist with bussing tables and cleaning dining areas as needed
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure product quality and safety
- Perform basic math calculations for measuring ingredients and portioning baked goods

Experience:
- Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic baking techniques and recipes is a plus
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system or similar point-of-sale software is beneficial
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating sales totals
- Understanding of retail math concepts for pricing and inventory management

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.65 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 28 per week
