Bakery Delivery Driver

Job Description:

As a Bakery Delivery Driver, you'll work as part of a team of energetic task-busters to make sure our pastry items are distributed to our Cafe's. This is an entry-level position in the Bakery department at our Commissary. Work alongside a team of awesome roasters, baristas, salespeople, and the best coffee in the world. Ideal candidates are folks who are detail-oriented, self-motivated, good communicators, and have a knack for time management. This position starts at 2:30AM and will require overtime in peak seasons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain positivity and enthusiasm at all times
• Our Delivery Driver drives a delivery van to drop offKuppa Joy products to our cafes and Joy Thrus
• You can plan on working 5 days a week, Monday-Saturday (plus overtime)
• You can plan on a typical working day being 8 hours (some overtime required due to peak seasons)
• Our drivers follow strict safety standards on and off the road
• You'll interact withKuppa Joy employees and customers in a professional and positive manner
  
• Adhere todelivery schedule
  
• Deliver/pick up product at specified customer locations
  
• Verify that all items listed on invoices are loaded and delivered
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness at all times
• Develop and execute organized, efficient loading and unloading system
  
• Ensure all product is merchandised in grocery and identify opportunities for improved placement
• Ensure all product is stocked in FIFO order
• Problem solve on the fly
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement
• Accurately fill and assemble orders for delivery
• Must be willing to work early morning shift
• Must be willing to work on the Production floor on days when there are no deliveries

• Flexible with the ability to multi-task in a highly demanding and sometimes stressful environment
• Available Monday-Saturday is required
• Ability to obtain a CA food handlers certificate is required
• Must be at least 21+ years old
• Must have a valid driver's license within the state of California
• Must be able to operate and navigate a delivery van
• Must be able to move boxes up to 50 lbs., unassisted

Qualifications

• Must posses a valid driver's license and clean driving history
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior organizational, planning and time management skills
• Ability to work well individually and with a team
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in any given situation
• Ability to work full-time and with a changing schedule (different start time for delivery days and non-delivery days)
