We are searching for a skilled and creative asst manager who strives to provide high-quality baked goods and services in an efficient, professional manner. Our asst Manager will understand recipes, perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products, uses frostings, glazes, fillings, and other toppings to enhance item presentation, and process orders from customers, along with managing our crew.
As an asst manager, you will greet customers, answer questions, clean workstations and equipment, make sure the kitchen is stocked, and perform other duties as needed.
To be a successful asst manager, you should be efficient, friendly, focused on food quality and customer satisfaction, be decisive, attentive, and have a strong understanding of baking techniques.
STORE HOURS:
- Monday - Saturday 8AM-10PM
- with an occasional Sunday shift thrown in.
Responsibilities
- Delegating responsibilities and supervising business operations.
- Maintaining knowledge and skills for baker and driver positions and fills in as necessary
- Training, motivating, and coaching employees as they provide attentive, efficient service to customers, assess employee performance, and provide helpful feedback and training opportunities
- Resolving conflicts or complaints from customers and employees
- Monitoring store activity and ensuring it is properly provisioned and staffed
- Analyzing information and processes and developing more effective or efficient techniques and strategies
- Establishing and achieving business and profit objectives
- Maintaining a clean, tidy business, ensuring that signage and displays are attractive
- Generating reports and presenting information to upper-level managers or other parties
- Keeping inventory up to date
- Ensuring staff members follow company policies and procedures
- Training new staff members
- Other duties to ensure the overall health and success of the business
Manager Requirements
- Previous experience managing others required
- At least 2 year of experience working in food service/bakeries
- Must have ServSafe Certification (Manager Preferred)
- Strong understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Time and project management skills
- Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop practical solutions and strategies
- Commitment to providing exceptional service to customers and support to staff members
- knows how to take direction well
- Able to work unsupervised and able to run store by themselves
