SalaryAFC is seeking a 2nd Shift Bag Machine Operator who will be responsible for running bagger equipment as efficiently and safely as possible. The Bag Machine Operator is responsible for tending a high-speed machine that automatically measures, prints, cuts, folds, and glues or seals material, typically paper, to form bags. The Bag Machine Operator is also responsible for the overall quality of finished goods.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain state-of-the-art paper bag manufacturing machines with precision and efficiency.
- Follow established production guidelines and safety protocols to ensure smooth and safe operations.
- Monitor machine performance, promptly identify and troubleshoot any issues or defects, and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimum efficiency.
- Load raw materials, such as paper rolls and glues, into the machines, and monitor inventory levels for seamless production.
- Conduct regular quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications, including measurements, appearance, and functionality.
- Prepare all production reports.
- Collaborate with team members to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Adhere to safety regulations, promote a safe work culture, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Pay: $21.00+/hr plus $2.50 shift differential
Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ year machine operating experience
- Experience operating paper bag manufacturing machines or similar high-speed production equipment is preferred, but not required as training will be provided.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs.
- Ability to read and understand a tape measurer and/or ruler and demonstrate the ability to be accurate in these measurements.
- Must have basic computer skills for machine operation and data entry.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Must be available to train on first shift.

Bonus is paid as follows for employees working 34 or more hours per week: $500 after 30 days of employment, $1,000 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days; for employees working 28-33 hours per week: $375 after 30 days of employment, $750 after 90 days, $750 after 180 days; for employees working 20-27hours per week: $250 after 30 days of employment, $500 after 90 days, $500 after 180 days for employees working less than 20 hours per week: $125 after 30 days of employment, $250 after 90 days, $250 after 180 days.
