Position: Backflow Technician

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Repair backflows of all sizes (3/4”-6”)
• Install backflow preventers.
• Test and certify backflow preventers.
• Installation, modification and/or repair of plumbing systems.
• Evaluating, diagnosing, and recommending repair or replacement measures.
• Testing and thorough clean-up of completed work.
• Responsible for company vehicle, tools and equipment, both cleanliness and maintenance.
• On-call rotations as needed.
• Any reasonable job or task assigned by supervisor or management.

Job Requirements:

• Basic plumbing knowledge and experience.
• Valid FL Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Five (5) or more years of plumbing experience, with proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing various types of plumbing systems/fixtures – preferred, but not required.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
• Positive initiative-taker who is coachable and willing to learn new things.
• Ability to work in extreme conditions (e.g. heat, cold, etc.)
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than one-hundred (100) pounds.
