Our Experiences CDN group is looking for a strong Backend Engineer to join our team to help us build highly scalable and highly available features for Salesforce Digital Experiences. Our team is dedicated to achieving high scale in the Experiences Services Cloud. We specialize in delivering scalable solutions by utilizing the CDN EDGE platform, which enables us to support the scale needs of over a billion experience site users.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software that powers several of our core services and coordinate with other teams working on different layers of the infrastructure
- Architect, design, implement, test, and deliver highly scalable and available features that leverage CDN technologies
- Work closely with cross-functional teams across geographies
- Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, and write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics.
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation to address complex problems in real-time and keep services operational and highly available
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2-5 years experience: MTS or SMTS
- Must have backend experience; prefer 80% backend / 20% full-stack profile
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, Javascript, C++, C#, Ruby, Python)
- Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP and REST) and Distributed Systems
- Experience in automated testing including unit and functional testing using Java, JUnit, Jest, Selenium
- Understanding of Database technologies such as SQL, PL/SQL, and relational database schema design
- A related technical degree required
Preferred Skills
- Bonus - experience in working with CDN technologies
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS & Javascript is a plus but not a must
- Excellent communication skills

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $133800 to $220,000.
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
