Job description

Founded in 1968, M&M Thrift Management Company, which operates 27 stores in ten states across the U.S., is a dominant leader in the fast-growing retail thrift industry.
Job Summary
The Backroom Production Associate at RWB Thrift is responsible for executing diverse tasks and processes within backroom operations. This position requires attention to detail, physical endurance, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Backroom Production Associates may be assigned to various roles within the backroom. A top performing individual is eager to enhance and broaden their skills, enabling them to perform well in multiple areas of the backroom as business needs dictate. Below are brief descriptions of each role:
Sorters: Sorters play a pivotal role in the second step of our sorting process by setting the pace for Backroom Production. This individual is responsible for meticulously analyzing substantial quantities of items, determining the most suitable path for each, and sorting them based on category and condition. In addition to their sorting duties, Sorters are tasked with upholding a clean and well-organized workstation, a crucial element in our operational efficiency. They also create designated bins, streamlining the post-sorting process for increased productivity and effectiveness.
Hanger: Hangers play a critical role in ensuring that products destined for the sales floor are properly hung on the designated hanger and placed on the appropriate rack. Hangers must be detail oriented, paying attention to color order, sleeve length, and garment type.
Tagger: Taggers are responsible for accurately affixing price tags to products in accordance with company standards and accurately entering prices into the pricing machine. Working side-by-side with the Pricer, the tagger is expected to learn how to price items for the Sales Floor. In addition to their tagging duties, Taggers may occasionally assist with the process of attaching sensors to products when needed.
Pricer: The Pricer plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate pricing within their assigned department. They analyze and establish appropriate pricing for all items within the department. They manage inventory and make necessary merchandise adjustments on the sales floor to drive sales and meet or exceed department goals. Effective performers conduct comprehensive research, both internally and externally, to maintain competitive pricing strategies.
Pricer Support: Pricer Support personnel work closely with Pricers and are required to learn pricing tasks to provide coverage during the Pricer's absence. They may also be assigned to run items to the sales floor as required.
Tallyer & Sensor Associate: Tallyers are primarily responsible for meticulously counting items intended for the sales floor in adherence to company standards. Beyond counting, Tallyers also attach sensors to products that require them, paying attention to sensor placement and understanding different fabric types. Their attention to detail and accuracy ensures our inventory is precisely tracked and our products are properly prepared for the sales floor.
Runner: Runners promptly deliver priced merchandise to its designated location on the sales floor while maintaining organization and color order. They monitor the condition of the sales floor, promptly addressing any safety concerns, and informing management if any area becomes overfilled, making it difficult for customers to shop. While maintaining the sales floor, they should be prepared to assist customers as needed.
