Axe Throwing Coach | Lawrence

Blade and Timber is currently hiring for part time Axe Coaches.

This could be an ideal position for you if you are looking for a fun, upbeat, team based environment. Our ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, enthusiastic, and can communicate well with customers and staff, while providing excellent hospitality.

Don’t worry if you have never thrown an axe before, anyone can do it and we are pretty great at teaching. We are thrilled to work with and train someone willing to learn. We have worked with successful coaches from but not limited to the following backgrounds:

• 
  Service Industry

• Escape Rooms

• Front Desk/Hotel Industry

• Tutoring and Teaching

• Entertainment Industry

• Sales

The following Coaching duties include, but are not limited to:

• Providing excellent hospitality: Greet and Coach guests

• Study and fully understand all safety protocol information (provided) and pass the safety certification test

• Give food and beverage recommendations, take orders, serve food and beverage to guests

• Perform general maintenance and cleaning of facility and equipment i.e. sweeping, cleaning, replacing target

• Maintain inventory of food, beverages, merchandise, and facility equipment

• Assist in completing and opening and closing procedures

• Adhere to all rules and regulations regarding selling and serving alcohol and food

• Answer phone calls, return voicemails, and respond to emails professionally

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Passion about the guest experience

• Positive attitude and are eager to learn

• Customer service oriented

• Experience working in a team and the ability to support your teammates

• Ability to adapt, problem solve, and feel comfortable working in a fun, fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to stay on task and hit goals without direct supervision

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Applicant must be 21 years or older

• Food service knowledge - food handlers card will be required

• Alcohol service knowledge

• Experience with a POS system

ADDITIONAL NOTES

• No prior knowledge of Axe Throwing needed

• Compensation: $15-28 including tips (our coaches are averaging $23 per hour)

• Benefits available for Full-Time employees

• Evening and weekend shifts

• Able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
