AWS Solutions Architect (100% Remote)

We are on the hunt for an AWS Solutions Architect who can partner with clients to provide technical oversight and solutioning of complex problems. This is a hands-on technical role but also requires interfacing and working closely with external stakeholders and understanding their pain points. This is a full-time role, 100% remote, Atlanta-based preferred.

Duties:

• Responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing scalable solutions for our clients.
• Lead and contribute to the implementation of Application solutions, working closely with the development team, product owner, and DevOps to ensure that designs are accurately translated into functional systems.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements.
• Develop architectural diagrams, documentation, and presentations that clearly communicate solution designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required:

• 10+ years experience in C# or Java
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and implementing software solutions in AWS.
• Expertise in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions.
• Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with system integration, application development, and data architecture.
• Experience with application design patterns, microservices and containerization technologies ( like Docker and Kubernetes )
• Must have one of the following certifications: AWS Solutions Architect or Developer ( Professional preferred )
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure components (e.g., VPCs, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, cloudwatch, IAM, Fargate, developer tools)
• Proficient in one or more of the following RDS platforms: Postgres, Aurora, SQL server
• Proficient in transactional database design and query optimization.
• Ability to design and implement normalized database schemas.
• Knowledge of database design principles to optimize performance and reduce redundancy.
• Ability to work in a client-facing role, understanding business needs, and translating them into technical solutions.
