Overview

Summary/ Objective

The AWS Cloud Engineer is an individual contributor responsible for defining, standardizing and governing technology and security architecture for key ACA IT and Digital Business initiatives in an Azure/AWS Cloud and Hybrid Cloud solutions environment. A Cloud Engineer's responsibilities include deploying and debugging systems, as well as executing new cloud initiatives.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Ensure alignment of technology solutions to business objectives through to implementation.AWS Cloud and Hybrid Cloud solutions dutiesAssists business systems analysts to produce non-functional requirements for systems development initiatives where needed.Recommend technology improvements or corrections to improve performance of operational systemsParticipate in technology vendor solution and system overview sessions and selectionPerform technical architecture analysis of new and existing systemsWork with Enterprise Architects and Cloud Architects to produce future state architectures and transition architecturesCreate line of sight from applications, services and data stores to technical infrastructure componentsMaintain ACA Technology catalogCollaborate internally to develop scalable, maintainable, consistent, highly available storage and virtualization architectures that meet business objectives and set relevant service-level agreementsAssist in producing technology / infrastructure architecture drawingsDesign and implement redundant systems and policies for disaster recovery and archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of appliances and stored data assets.Collaborate with Server, Storage & Network Teams to gather metrics to show trends of current technology solutions Collaborate closely with business, solution, information, cloud, and enterprise architectsCollaborate with PMO to produce sample technology architecture deliverables to help guide the creation of future project deliverables.Ensure technology solutions comply with ACA compliance and risk management policiesWork with vendor management (VMO) to ensure third party technology solutions comply with ACA policies and standardsBachelors of Science in Computer Science, Information Management or related discipline Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issuesPrevious role as systems or network engineer or systems developerExperience architecting infrastructure technology solutions, enterprise storage, archival/backup, and DRP systems with a broad spectrum of virtual and storage technologies.Experience provisioning virtualized infrastructures - Cloud, Hybrid and other patternsExperience with Mobility based systems and architectures                

• Strong scripting and 1-3 years of experience in Node.js, YAML, JSON, TypeScript, and Python are preferred.Security architecture experience including capabilities like Identity and Access Management at enterprise levelsExperience ensuring systems and processes comply with PCI / PII and other industry regulatory standardsKnowledge of change management systems, applicable data retention practices and policiesProven analytical, strategic vision drawing on strong problem-solving abilities.Experience with Enterprise systems modeling with tools like Visio.Strong written and oral communication skills, high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills, and excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skillsAbility to conceive solutions from elaboration of requirementsAbility to maintain composure and multitask in a fast paced environmentExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Windows and the InternetMust be a self-motivator while actively participating in a team environmentAbility to mentor othersExperience facilitating solution sessionsAssist with vendor RFP processes where needed

Desired Qualifications

• AWS, Azure certification preferred. Relevant to duties of Cloud Engineer. Minimum of 2 years architecture experience

Experience with systems integration and service oriented architecture models.Experience with Mobile Device Management and Digital Loss Prevention technology solutionsISO 27000 series experienceConnectivity experience with Internet of Things (IoT) devicesProcess experience - Lean, ITIL, Six Sigma etc.Experience in Financial Systems is highly desirable- Loan Origination, Underwriting, Funding or Servicing Experience with ECM platforms like OnBase, SharePointExperience leveraging CICD Pipeline Repositories for storage and retrieval of solution building blocks

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment and Physical DemandsThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. The daily schedule may vary from 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm.
