AWC Lien Support Rep

Location: Costa Mesa, CA & Woodland Hills, CA.

This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The AWC Lien Support Repwill be responsible for successfully defending the contract for all Mandatory Settlement Conferences (MSCs) and Lien Trials at the WCAB, thus preserving the value of Workers' Compensation contract and client partnerships.

How you will make an impact:

• Supports all Workers' Compensation clients with liens filed against by contracted providers/facilities at the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) by providing business expertise in lien dispute and resolution; provides expert testimony when appearing before a Workers' Compensation Appeals Boards, or participation at lien trials.

• Provides guidance and counsel to defense teams for all pertinent language in the Anthem contract.

• Provides assessment and documentation of state specific Workers' Compensation statutes, regulations, and other requirements; acts as AWC regulatory point of contact.

• Provides recommendations for defense strategies related to lien matters.

• Researches applicable laws, contracts, and fee schedules and applies to facts in preparation of expert witness testimony.

• Maintains updated and defensible department policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years Workers' Compensation experience with network pricing, disputes and resolutions; or any combination of education and
  experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

• Certified Bill reviewer with the State of California (DWC) or past certification that can be renewed required.

• Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $91,264 to $136,896.
