Job description

Position Information
This position is responsible for managing the receipt of external awards, initial review of documents for completeness of key elements, completion of sponsor required forms, assignment of SPA reviewers, managing timely award processing and all follow-up activities regarding award execution and award modifications. This position has liaison activities with Grant & Contract Accounting, Grant Coordinators, faculty, and award Sponsors.
Work Schedule: M-F 8:00-5:00pm
Salary: $50,000+/year
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or; Associates degree with 3 years related administrative experience or;
  • 5+ years direct experience within a higher education setting that provides the knowledge, skill, and ability to successfully perform the position.
  • Detail oriented with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and follow-up skills and abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities and manage deadlines in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Ability to work equally well independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
  • PC Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Web)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Major Field of Study or Degree emphasis in Business or related field.
  • Experience working with PeopleSoft.
  • Experience working with Novelution.
  • Experience in Higher Education environment.
  • Experience with pre- and/or post-award sponsored program requirements (i.e. proposal budget development, rebudgeting, etc).
  • Prefer familiarity with federal regulations and policies governing external funding agreements (i.e. grants, cooperative agreements, etc.) or other transferable skills.
  • Prefer University sponsored programs experience (direct, indirect or combination).
