Background
Citi's Enterprise Stress Testing Policy requires stress tests to be performed for both (1) capital planning, as well as harmonize risk appetite limits across the organization - these are done with a fixed cadence (e.g., CCAR, performed quarterly or Global Systemic Stress Tests (GSST), performed monthly) and (2) quantification of impact from anticipated and/or currently unfolding risk events on Citi's performance metrics - these are the Rapid Stress Tests (RST) done on an ad-hoc basis as needed.
Team
The Rapid Stress Testing team (RST team) is a part of Enterprise Risk Analytics team, which is part of Citi's Enterprise Risk Management. The RST team is responsible for identifying key risk topics for Rapid Stress Testing, coordinating the execution of said Rapid Stress Tests and communicating the results to internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Board of Directors, CRO, Regulators). The team also undertakes analysis on ad-hoc research topics (special projects), as requested by Citi's Senior Risk Management and the Board of Directors.

Role Summary:
The candidate will form a part of the Rapid Stress Testing Topic Identification and Special Projects team and assist with the team mandate of:
- identification of key macro, market and banking industry trends as suitable RST candidates
- setting-up processes around RST topic selection
- undertaking deep-dive macro / market / banking industry analysis on key Risk topics, as requested by Citi's Senior Risk Management, in collaboration with Citi's internal SMEs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the team in tracking key global macro, market and banking industry trends to help create list of potential RST topics, for dissemination to Citi's Senior Risk Management.
- Help undertake ad-hoc / special projects for Senior Management on key risk topics; proactively research and perform in-depth analysis on risk related topics to provide thought leadership.
- Assist the team in undertaking Citi vs. peers' performance analysis, using CCAR / DFAST stress test results, bank quarterly earnings, 10Q/Ks.
- Help setup databases and dashboards containing external / internal metrics to track risks. Automate data processes and engage in technology solutions, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or an undergraduate degree with additional years of relevant experience is required.
- Experience and Skills:
- 2-3 years of experience in research, risk management or consulting role. Relevant education / degree will count in favor of work experience.
- Knowledge of data visualization and presentation (e.g. Powerpoint, Tableau, Excel) is necessary, as is the ability to present complex messages in succinct manner to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of economics / banking databases and software such as Haver and S&P is preferred.
- Working knowledge of general-purpose programming languages (e.g., R/Python) is preferred.
- Effective cross-functional project, resource, and stakeholder management; effectively engage with internal audit and external regulators.
- Experience in presentation to Senior-level internal / external clients and Senior Management preferred.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects through completion, with a small team under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communicator: ability to engage and inspire team forward.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented with an ability to take reasoned decisions under pressure.
