The AVP, Head of Creative Practice, is the Head of the Internal Creative Agency, HeartHaus. The HeartHaus internal agency leads the creative strategy and development for projects submitted through the internal agency, across the CVS Health business units. Within the practice, this leader will oversee the teams that bring subject matter expertise in digital design, physical experience design, and the creative articulation of the brand strategy and distinctive brand assets.
As the HeartHuas practive lead, the strategic leader will regular present to senior leaders, demonstrating thought leadership and creativity. This individual will also drive the strategy for the consistent articulation of our enterprise creative platform and operating as a thought leader on how to outline a creative strategy that balances function and emotion, ultimately reinforcing CVSH Health as loved and admired brand by multiple stakeholder groups.

The AVP must be a strong partner to the roster of external agencies - our model is a true partnership with our external partners and it's imperative for the leader to embrace this and create a culture of collaboration within the internal agency. Other key relationships include partnerships with the Marketing strategy teams across the brands within the CVS Health Enterprise, including the CVS Pharmacy, Caremark, and Aetna Marketing teams.
Demonstrating a deep understanding of human emotions, motivations, instincts and actions, as well as advertising channel best practices, this leader will inspire customers to choose CVS Health through insights-inspired marketing communications. This leader will also have an inherent intellectual curiosity about evolving media best practice across paid media platforms, as well as internal CRM channels - e.g. email, SMS, mobile app.
Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years or greater of multi-channel Creative leadership experience in agency and/or corporate environment.
  • Proven experience managing a team in the design and execution of digital and connected experiences.
  • Experience and comfort working across a consortium of agencies, influencing, but not directing external work
  • 10+ years of proven experience leading, managing, and influencing cross-functional teams
    Exceptional presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to adjust presentation style for the audience
  • Demonstrate leadership and management competencies and skills including operational excellence, and exceptional communication.
  • Fundamental understanding of strong marketing tools and processes.
  • Passion for strategic and creative problem solving and an understanding of design thinking applied to the ideation of various initiatives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Award earning creative skill sets essential for the execution of owned, earned and paid media touchpoints.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Hybrid role requires in-office at approved CVS Health location Tues-Thurs each week

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Retail and/or healthcare industry experience or other highly regulated industry experience
  • B2C - Business to Consumer and/or D2C- Direct to Consumer experience
  • In-house or agency experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required with preference in Fine Arts, Communications, Design or related field
  • Portfolio filled with innovative, industry leading websites and digital products/experiences that are considered best in class.
  • Extensive digital background and understanding of user experience, digital tools, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidance (WCAG 2.0).
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (CMS and DAM).
  • Experience with Motion and Experience Design APIs (After Effects, AR, Voice, etc.).
  • Experience with the Adobe tech stack, including Experience Manager and Target.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$157,800.00 - $356,800.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
