The AVP Finance IT is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the IT Finance team which includes: the facilitation, management support of the IT budget forecast, Technology Business Management,TCO (total cost of ownership) and IT budget analytics & projects. This AVP is responsible for preparing information to liaise between IT and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Tax and Procurement on IT financial matters. This position requires collaboration with IT Senior leaders other departments and business partners in order to provide support. The AVP will promote team member integrity, ethical compliance and build upon our established culture. The AVP will have contact and interaction with all levels of management and departments across the organization, as well as external customers, vendors and/or contractors. There will be a great deal of interaction with senior leaders from all across the organization and on-going collaboration with the ITS leadership team.
- Assist senior leadership with all aspects of the annual IT budget, forecasting, reporting and maintenance
- Responsible for development of ad hoc analysis and presentations for upper level management
- Support IT leadership, FP&A, Tax and Procurement with finance related inquiries/requests, including, but not limited to requisitions, purchase orders, SOWs, funding documents and reforecasts
- Maintain skills required for the role including, Excel, PowerPoint, Apptio, Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, SharePoint and other technologies
- Conduct discovery, define objectives and scope, document current and future-state processes, document risks and assumptions, and oversee implementation
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with IT, FP&A, Tax, Procurement and other stakeholders
- Analyze complex issues, apply financial analysis and use sound judgment to make strategic decisions that balance long and short business goals and objectives
- Manage department performance using key information, processes and systems to ensure accountability for achieving business results
- Foster and champion an environment that promotes trust, continuous improvement, innovation, quality outcomes and self-development
- Coach, mentor and train team members to establish a consistent level of quality, accuracy, accountability and compliance of department standards
- Perform other duties as assigned, conform with all company policies and procedures
- Knowledgeable of best practices in information technology governance and regulatory landscape for financial institutions
- Advanced knowledge of Financial reporting tools and systems such as Apptio, Cognos, Oracle Finance, EPM, ServiceNow
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including the strong ability to analyze data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposes
- Advance experience with data visualization concepts and tools
- Ability to effectively lead, organize and supervise
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline sensitive environment
- Advanced knowledge of finance/accounting principles and IT financial management practices
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or in related field or equivalent work experience and/or advanced certifications required
- 5+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting required
- 3+ years Management or leadership experience required
- Experience in IT financial management or comparable required
