Role Overview

Wheels Up is seeking a paralegal who is highly competent, a self-starter, detail-oriented, and a team player, with 5+ years of aviation experience. The Aviation Paralegal role will support the Aviation Legal team and other lawyers within the Legal Department. Reporting to the Senior Vice President & Senior Aviation Counsel, this role will be a key member of the Wheels Up legal team.

Candidates must have experience supporting attorneys who are managing a high volume of diverse, complex aviation matters, including aircraft sales and leases, regulatory issues, and commercial contracts. The successful candidate will demonstrate the skills necessary to use high-level communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively communicate with various levels of leadership and staff, across functions and in various settings.

The Aviation Paralegal will provide support across a variety of matters including the following day-to-day responsibilities in the areas of general support of the legal team and administrative support.


  • Prepare first drafts of letters, notices, LOIs, and other documents based on templates.
  • Keep track of status of the different workstreams and report it to the team and the client.
  • Manage delivery and closing processes, including FAA and IR filings.
  • Prepare execution documents and compiling signature pages.
  • Manage a data base of contracts.
  • Proofread documents, including reviewing and correcting formatting, numbering, pagination, etc.
  • Assist with research and information gathering.
  • Monitor and triage group inboxes and incoming mail.
  • Assist in creation of Power Point presentations.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education.
  • Paralegal certificate/experience.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in aviation transactions and regulatory matters, whether at a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Proficiency in MS Office skills (i.e., Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), Adobe, Zoom, and Docusign. Experience with Ironclad a plus.

Salary Range

The wage range for this position ($105,000 – $120,000 base salary) is determined on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, such as differences in skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. This wage range has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with where the position may be filled. At Wheels Up, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Your placement within the wage range is primarily based on your qualifications and experience.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
