Title:Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) 4 Reports to: AMT Lead

Pay Range: $45.50 - $67.00 / Hour Position Type: Full Time, Hourly

Position Summary

This role is responsible for A&P type maintenance services related to both the airframe and powerplant, to include component changes, rigging, functional checks, inspection, troubleshooting and basic understanding of both avionics and structures routine maintenance within the aircraft maintenance department. A Level 4 AMT Technician will have 15 or more years of Aviation Maintenance training and experience, with at least 4 years on a Metrea A/C Type. The ideal Level 4 technician will have an A&P License and 3 Gen Fams on Metrea A/C Types or other related aircraft. The Level 4 technician will have a mastery of the skills required to successfully accomplish any task assigned. Not only would they work unsupervised, but as an expert within their skill set or aircraft type(s), they could independently lead a team of mechanics on a special project or aircraft.

Essential Functions Statements

• Ability and willingness to mentor lower-level mechanics when working together on tasks.
• Lead AMTs on special projects or tasks while maintaining the highest level of quality and workmanship in accordance with (IAW) published authority, ensuring compliance with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) requirements.
• Mastery of the skills required to troubleshoot, repair, install, rig, and modify systems without direct supervision.
• Extensive experience with integration of new aircraft systems or other electronic systems within an airframe by interpreting engineering drawings and using standard practice experience to overcome challenges routinely encountered during extensive aircraft modifications.
• Working knowledge and experience with the STC approval process, conformity of parts, first article inspections, document control and red lining procedures. This would include experience working with Engineering, ODA’s, DER’s, DAR’s and Quality Control to ensure the success of a project.
• Coordinate with inspection department to complete proper paperwork required for each installation/repair.
• Assist AMT Lead in coordination with other departments to progress installations and/or repairs of assigned projects.
• Assist supervision by identifying issues with proposed parts and drawings utilized to accomplish major alterations or modifications to company aircraft.
• Assist enforcement of company and departmental policies.
• Advise AMT Lead of any assigned personnel’s work-related issues.
• Ability to supervise AMT personnel in absence of an AMT Lead.
• Provide proper accountability of personal tools IAW local repair station policies.

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
This job operates in an environment that varies from office to hangar-floor locations, ramp & outdoors with potential adverse weather conditions and high noise levels.

Physical Demands
This is a non-sedentary role and requires physical activity.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hours and work shift may change in accordance with department and business needs. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Required Education, Experience and Certificates

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 15+ years of Aircraft Maintenance Experience and advanced knowledge on Gulfstream, Hawker, King Air and other corporate aircraft preferred.
Certificates and Licenses: A&P Certificate

Computer Skills: Basic Computer Knowledge

Computer Skills: Maintenance Technical Publications, Corridor, Veryon/Flight Docs
