Aviation Maintenance Technicians – Instructors AM Shift

The shift is Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in Aviation Maintenance technology to students in compliance with FAA, State and regulatory body requirements
• Demonstrate proper safety procedures
• See that equipment and/or labs are properly maintained
• Establish and maintain academic and attendance records
• Submit attendance, grades, student evaluation, and all other required documentation and reports per established procedures
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom or lab
• Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with class participants.
• Work as a team member with all other instructors

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have an FAA A&P certificate.
• Must have 3 or more years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance (special considerations will be given for more diverse experience).
• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Prefer prior instructional experience.
• Prefer experience troubleshooting and maintaining a wide variety of aircraft systems.
• Prefer knowledge and understanding of Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) specifically the general subjects required to receive a rating of Airframe or Power Plant.
• Excellent communication skills, professional appearance and teamwork-oriented
