Job Description
As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs and inspections on gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate should have at least four years’ experience with a strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and practice safety guidelines. The regular work schedule is Wednesday to Sunday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This position may be scheduled for shifts outside the regular work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tune-ups, and brake replacements
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical problems on gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment
- Inspect and test engines, transmissions, and other components using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers and internal departments regarding repair status and job requirements
- Experience with diesel motors and mobile generators are strongly desired
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and ensure that all safety protocols are followed
- Additionally duties may be assigned to support the operations of the department
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 4-years recent mechanic work experience
- Communication and computer literacy requirements with the use of phone calls, text message, email or mobile applications
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
