UNM'sFacilities Management (FM) has a great entry level opportunity for an AutoTech. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a professionalmanner. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing and/or assistingin the repair of a variety of routine to moderately complex issues onuniversity automobiles, trucks, and related heavy equipment in a safe andefficient manner. Typically works in a motor pool environment and may berequired to work outside.
FMAutomotive Center is an award winning, full service, vehicle maintenance andrepair facility responsible for the safe operation of UNM's 700 plus vehiclefleet. In addition, the Automotive Center manages the University's fuelingstation and CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) station. All University vehiclepurchases, transfers, and repairs are performed or coordinated through theAutomotive Center per UNM Business Policy 7780. The Center's highly trained anddedicated staff has over 130 years of experience. This training and experienceensure that the University's fleet of vehicles are safe and dependable.
The minimumrequirements of experience for this position is one (1) year; as a condition ofemployment you must obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6 monthsof date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications- Current NM Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Prior experience using automotive diagnostic equipment and use of hand/power tools
- Prior experience working with large fleet of various size vehicles
- ASE Certifications.
- Have full set of mechanic hand tools
- Preferred 3 years ofexperience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in thePosition Description.
