Automotive Parts Counterperson

Baker Automotive Group has a unique opportunity for a qualified Parts Professional at our beautiful Buick GMC dealership in Hudsonville, MI.  The Parts Counterperson role is an essential member of our parts & service team ensuring the right parts gets to the right place at the right time.  This is a full-time, hourly paid position with performance bonus.  Work schedule is M-F with NO Saturdays.

• Customer Focus.  You are comfortable interacting with customers.  You know that our Technicians are also your customers and you strive to get them the right parts quickly.  You understand the absolute necessity of our Technicians repairing vehicles and not waiting on parts.
• Automotive Parts Knowledge.  You know your way around an automobile and have experience using an electronic parts catalog.  You understand parts department processes and how parts orders are filled.
• Multi-Tasking.  You are comfortable receiving several requests at once and know how to prioritize your next step.  You work your way through ringing phones, Technician parts requests, pricing service estimates, etc. while staying organized and composed.
• Self-Starter.  You look for the next thing to do and do not wait to be told.  Whether answering the phone or waiting on the next person in line, you aim to be the one who gets there first.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working in an Automotive Parts-related field.
• Experience using an electronic parts catalog (EPC).
• Experience with GM brands and CDK management system are strong pluses.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
