Position Overview:
The Automotive Parts Counter person is responsible for customer service and retail sales at the store. In this position, your primary responsibilities include selling parts, taking stock inventory in storage, and, if necessary, being on shelves. The Parts associate gives a positive impression to every customer regarding their overall parts experience at the store.

Essential Functions:
- Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure that the customer is aware of the entire product line.
- Pull purchased parts from stock.
- Check-in Customer/Stock orders daily
- If the part is not in stock, determine availability and submit a particular order if the customer requests.
- Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
- Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
- Verify 'will call' and "back-order" files weekly, return them to vendors, or stock items when required.
- Assist Service Technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in the process.
- Order parts if not in stock after speaking with a service advisor.
- Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
- When doing business with returning customers, ensure that their "cash account' numbers are entered to ensure proper customer tracking.
- With a declined purchase, notify the credit department. If unavailable, either decline to charge the purchase or release the credit hold following the dealership's guidelines.
- Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
- Participate with the Parts Manager in maintaining a Lost Sale Tracking program.
This position is commission-based pay, and the annual income opportunity ranges from $45,000 to $50,000 annually.

- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and a drug screen for illegal substances
