Job Description for Automotive Industrial Amusement Ride Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Industrial / Amusement Ride Mechanic to join our team. As a mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles and Amusement Rides. You will be conducting inspections, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, repair, and advance troubleshooting of electro-mechanic machinery to ensure their safe and efficient operation, "Hands-On" Work
- The Technician will perform visual and auditory inspections of electro-mechanic machinery and maintain proper records for all inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed utilizing the CMMS system or similar.
- Keep a machine spare parts inventory and notify the supervisor of any materials necessary to ensure safety and continuous operation.
- Ensure that machines are clean and visually compliant with the manufacturer's specifications and Luna Park in Coney Island Maintenance Standards
- Inspect machines daily and notify a Maintenance Supervisor of any hazards and deficiencies.
- Troubleshoot, Investigate, and resolve ride operational issues promptly, collaborating with other team members when necessary.
- Able to coordinate maintenance and inspection procedures.

Skill and requirements:
- 2-year of experience in Mechanical Maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical/electro-mechanical systems, heavy equipment, or industrial machinery are preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED-completed trade school certification is a plus.
- Experience using instrumentation and measuring equipment (Caliper, micrometer, etc.)
- The ability to read and comprehend pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings is a plus.
- Experience or certification with industrial equipment such as Forklifts, telescopic boom lifts, telehandlers, etc. is a plus.
- Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and be safety conscious.
- Experience in welding, machining

- Due to the nature of the amusement park business, candidates must have the flexibility to be available for work on weekdays, weekends, holidays (in season), early mornings, and late evenings.
