BMW of Bridgeport is looking for an Accounting Assistant. Previous automotive experience is a must. Candidates must have strong organizational skills, be detailed oriented, ability to multitask in a very fast paced position.
Responsibilities
- Processing invoices and payment requests into ADP/CDK
- Verifying invoices, expense reports and check requests and ensuring that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
- Working closely with departments for invoice approval for timely and accurate payment processing
- Monitoring accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolving invoice discrepancies
- Assisting with month-end close including reconciling accounting schedules
- Correspond with vendors and customers responding to inquiries
- Break down deals and checking compliance paperwork
- Posting of deals
- Contract funding
- Processing after sales, invoice and payments
- Process DMV refunds to customers
- Assist Accounting Manager and Controller as needed
- General clerical duties including filing
Requirements
- Previous Automotive Bookkeeping experience
