Automotive Assistant Service Manager
Full-Time Opportunity
Monday – Saturday

Job Description & Duties:
To excel in this role, an individual must satisfactorily execute each essential duty.

  • Develops forecasts for departmental goals and objectives and works towards achieving them.
  • Manages reporting systems essential for both general management and the factory.
  • Monitors and controls departmental performance through the use of relevant reports, tracking systems, and surveys.
  • Promotes harmony and teamwork within the department and fosters collaboration with other departments.
  • Stays informed about and complies with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations, including hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Ensures understanding and adherence to manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Maintains accountability for all documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy in processing.
  • Conducts weekly department meetings to facilitate communication and coordination.
  • Directs and schedules the activities of all department employees.
  • Monitors technicians' daily productivity reports and verifies payroll records accordingly.
  • Tracks and follows up on parts orders with the parts manager to ensure availability.
  • Cultivates and sustains positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Informs repair technicians of time allowances specified on each repair order.
  • Upholds high-quality service repairs and minimizes rework; conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
  • Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools, making recommendations for purchases as needed.
  • Ensures cleanliness in work areas and customer waiting areas.
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment.
  • Ensures proper care, storage, and inventory of special tools.
  • Maintains up-to-date and easily accessible customer service files for reference.
  • Greets customers promptly and provides fair estimates on costs and time required for repairs and maintenance.
  • Addresses customer complaints promptly and in accordance with dealership guidelines.
  • Implements a 24-hour follow-up with all customers to confirm satisfaction with the service experience.
  • Ensures a safe work environment and maintains a professional appearance.

Salary:
$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year compensation commensurate with experience.
