Automotive Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for a competent, experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our office staff, in a friendly, family oriented environment, to contact customers by phone or email and collect outstanding payments. You will strike a balance between maintaining trustful relationships, and ensuring timely payments. An Accounts Receivable Specialist should exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness. You will be one of two, working together as a team to collect large receivables balances owed.

• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
• Investigate historical data for each debt or bill when needed
• Contact customers to ask about their overdue payments
• Take actions to encourage timely debt payments
• Give input and recommendations based on review of accounts
• Work with other departments to resolve billing and customer credit issues
• Update account status records and collection efforts
• Report on collection activity and Accounts Receivable status

• Previous collections experience required
• Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
• Familiarity with laws related to debt collection is a plus
• Working knowledge of Google Drive, Docs, & Sheets would be helpful
• Comfortable working a fast paced environment
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Skilled in negotiation
• Ability to work independently
• Problem-solving skills & critical thinking

Job Type: Full Time

Shift: Monday - Friday

Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
