SELECT AWARDS
The responsibilities of the Automotive Accessories Designer or Product Designer include but are not limited to the following:
.
- Design and create a wide variety of Accessory proposals based on project definitions and requests from individual stakeholders, including Sketches, Digital Models, Visual Illustrations, prototypes, animations, etc.
- Visual design of Component and customization systems, products, services, and API – responsive or adaptive for Aftermarket Strategies
- Create research-driven, data-informed designs that meet users' needs and their motivations.
- Performs closed-loop validation of Accessory Products with Product development teams and key partners.
- Visually define ideas, design decisions, and appearance recommendations to senior level stakeholders
- Build relationships with internal design team members and key stakeholders, such as Brand, Commercial, Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
- Utilize software skills in latest versions of Automotive Design and 2D/3D development tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite / Alias, Blender, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in automotive or industrial Design, or comparable degree
- 5 years professional work experience, as an automotive designer, Industrial designer, or similar transportation and vehicle related role
- An excellent command of visual communication and evaluation along with a thorough knowledge of 2d illustration and 3d development tools is a must
- Ability to write verbal descriptions of automotive design
- Familiarity of rapid prototyping tools (i.e., Milling, 3d printing etc.)
- Exhibit passion for emerging technologies, related to vehicle design.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proficient in both writing and speaking the English language
- The experience of having delivers at least one significant Automotive production Program
- Bachelor's degree in automotive or industrial Design.
- Ability to generate 3D digital sketch models via Alias or Blender
- Portfolio and or online body of work is a strong plus
- Experience in automotive, or consumer products industries in the capacity of design or ergonomic related fields
- Experience working within an agile development process
- Proficient in various design disciplines. (Photography, Visual Design, Information Architecture, Content Strategy, Interaction Design, Usability, User Research, Product Design
