Automation Lead / Lead SDET

Sryinx Consulting is seeking a Sr. Automation Lead to help lift and re-platform a legacy system to the AWS Cloud. We're looking for a skilled Lead with an in-depth, hands-on knowledge around Automation, cloud enablement and a demonstrable skill in mentoring and developing more junior team members. You must have excellent people and communication skills matched with a drive to adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment. Proven collaboration, communication and mentorship skills are a must have along with 7+ years of professional automation experience.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works collaboratively with application teams to design anddevelopeffectiveautomated quality solutions and guide [confidential project]quality practices and early quality preparation and engagement.
• Develops and executes formal test plans and procedures. Reviews and assesses test coverage to ensure thorough quality inspection.
• Plans tests, writes/Codes test cases/scripts, and executes tests.
• Performssmoke, functional and regression testing, including appropriate levels of testing to ensure application quality prior to implementation.
• Documents, tracks and reports test results, defects and other quality metrics, to provide actionable information. Enters problems and issues into tracking system and participates in resolution and contributes to buildout and maintenance of automated testing efforts in conjunction with the development team.
• Helps design and develop automation frameworks and automation artifacts for variety of testing situations in UI and API layers.
• Develops and implements quality standards, contributing ideas and effort toward continuous improvement and Quality enablement

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• LeanFT, Serenity, Cucumber, Java, Jenkins, Gradle, of which Java the most important.
• Knowledge of object oriented programming, knowledge of common syntax / coding conventions, experience with CI/CD technologies andSQL are also important.
• Knowledge of Git and Kanban are a must.
• This role would be a mix of hands on - scripting in Java and doing code reviews while also providing guidance on refactoring of the repo, and otherwise coaching 2-3 Jr. SDETs who are technically skilled but a need an effective Automation Leader to help develop their skills.
• Strategy - Highly proficient and fluent in Test strategy, management,coordination, and syntax.
• Layers - Ability to objectively evaluate processes and to separate technical systems into testable layers.
• Execution - Hands-on ability to execute tests, and troubleshoot problems with the team.

We will accept corp to corp or w2 contractors.
Contract Length: 6 Months to start, ongoing 6-month renewals to coincide with project planning cycles
