As an Automation and Digital Engineer for our Rome, GA facility you will help us drive Industry 4.0, 5.0, and beyond, bringing the power of data and automation to the technicians and decision makers. In this role you will lead in the area of OT (operational technology) bringing your skills in data collection, SCADA, and networking to unlock our full potential. PLC programming, instrumentation and controls knowledge will be key! As you strive towards meeting our continuous improvement goals and providing technical expertise, you will be a vital part of our facilities’ success.
Responsibilities

• Supporting Manufacturing - You will be implementing technology in the areas of Industry 4.0, automation, operational technology, manufacturing control platforms, PLC control (Rockwell), robotics, AGV/AMR, control system software applications, SCADA/HMI graphic software applications (Rockwell, Wonderware, Ignition), integration protocol, SAP software, information gathering systems (OSI-PI).
• Creating Documentation – Developing and maintaining software/control system specifications, network topology, troubleshooting guides
• Project Management – You will be working with cross-functional teams within the plant and regional teams to lead Automation and smart factory projects.
• Developing Capabilities – Coach operations leadership in the use of digital manufacturing technology to drive performance improvement.

Qualifications

• Have real passion for integrating technologies to enable the future of Digital Manufacturing via Industry 4.0 technologies, Data, and Analytics

· Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant work experience or high school/GED with 15 years of relevant technical experience

• Skills in Scada, MES, Data Collection, OT Networking, Virtualization are the competencies this role is focused on
• SQL, Java, API skills are a plus
• Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Project Management and budget execution experience a plus.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully manage internal and external relationships
• Strong capacity to influence when working with technicians and managers
