AutoCAD Technician
Americomm LLC., established in PA 2007, is a multi-disciplined Communications engineering firm servicing public, private and institutional clients throughout the North East Region. We currently have offices located in Carlisle and Leola Pennsylvania. Our team of professionals is dedicated to detail, innovative solutions, and cost control utilizing the latest technology and methodologies.
Description/Responsibilities
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Survey Group in our Carlisle office. This position performs a variety of drafting duties related to the field of engineering, drafting, and design technology. Using software programs such as AutoCAD and ARC-GIS, Power point, and other computer software subscriptions to perform a variety of drafting tasks. Necessary tasks will be associated with easement surveys and permits and private encroachment drawings. Projects will include inside plant, outside plant, transportation planning, site specific traffic control, and/or any other municipality standards. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Creates field views to verify data plots and ensure land features are as depicted on project survey maps.
- Performs court house visits to research records, tax maps and other related sources to identify property owners of record and to verify address information for use by field personnel.
- Prepares drawings utilizing AutoCAD and ARC-GIS to accurately reflect locations, conditions in the field for assigned projects.
- Drawing showing land features such as trees, sewer, water, storm water, curbs, and center lines.
- Prepares as-built plans for assigned projects to accurately reflect the final status of completed projects by making and adjustments or corrections to original developed plans required by changes in the field.
Job Qualifications
- AutoCAD proficiency required. (this is a must)
- Good written and oral communications
- Must pass background and drug screen and have valid driver license
- Strong organizational skills (ability to work with no supervision)
- 1-2 years of experience at consulting engineering/surveying firm (not necessary but helps).
