Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility:
Must be able to demonstrate ability to program and setup all production runs for OMCG and LaTour Autobender
Must have the ability to assist the Tooling Department with working out prototypes and new and/or potential production parts
Set up and run OMCG and LaTour Autobenders according to production schedule.
Set up all jobs according to blueprint specifications and tolerances.
Knowledge of proper use of inspection equipment, including, but not limited to height gauge, micrometer, thread gauges, etc.
Be able to read blue print, distinguish / identify type of programming or adjustment needs.
Identify with proper material usage by reading Traveler, Raw Material Tags and color coating of Raw Material procedures.
Responsible for weighing and properly reporting setup or production scrap.
Perform safety inspections of all guards and make necessary adjustments and maintain work area in a safe and clean manner.
Perform general maintenance on machine, take preventive measures to identify and involve Maintenance Department to eliminate and/or fix potential problems.
Understand and use proper lock out/ tag out procedures.
Must run production according to schedules, unless instructed otherwise.
Ability to perform repetitious tasks, occasionally subject to frequent changes in job assignment as requested by Production Manager.
Work on rapid improvement projects to improve departmental metrics as required to maximize value and reduce costs along with continuous improvement of product and process quality in all areas.
Other tasks as needed.
Skills and Abilities:
Autobender, LaTour and /or OMCG experience preferred
CNC, Machining, Programming education experience preferred
Ability to multi-task
Basic mechanical ability
Good hand/eye coordination
Must be self-motivated.
