Auto Mechanic - Motorsports

A unique opportunity for the right individual. This is a hands-on position working with race cars and other performance vehicles. This is a great opportunity for a skilled, highly motivated individual who has the passion for the sport.

Seeking a full time hands-on Auto Mechanic/crew person for Central California-based motorsports shop. We race with the National Autosport Association (NASA), the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and other organizations. We race at tracks like Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Sonoma Raceway, Autoclub Speedway, Circuit of the Americas, Buttonwillow Raceway Park and many others.

Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain and repair race cars
• Chassis setup and tuning
• Provide support services for customers at the race track
• Work with crew to set up and take down pit area for events
• Assist with loading and maintenance of race cars and equipment

Requirements:

• Strong work ethic
• Motorsports experience a plus
• Ability to think ahead to prevent delays or break downs
• Ability to work in time-sensitive environment and under pressure
• Able to interpret data and the car's performance and translate them into solutions
• Strong mechanical understanding of all major systems
• Familiarity with AIM data systems a plus
• Computer literacy
• Problem solving ability
• Ability to travel as needed
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Willing to start immediately
