Job Description
- A solid knowledge of basic mechanic’s tools, service, and diagnostic equipment.
- Certification from a vocational school or trade school is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication.
- Customer service skills.
- Conducting regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles including light trucks.
- Meeting with clients to better understand their concerns and identify the issue.
- Assembling mechanical components according to specifications.
- Examining machines and overseeing diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
- Designing a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades.
- Maintaining work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
- Monitoring inventory and ordering new parts when necessary.
- Offering consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine and vehicle users.
- Performing vehicle assessments and alerting clients on issues that will prohibit their vehicles from passing inspection.
