Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Facilities and Site Services' (F&SS) Fleet and Supply Operations group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as an Auto Body Repair Specialist.
Our team works an on-site 4x10 schedule located at our Central Facilities with every Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on buses, light vehicles, heavy trucks, and construction equipment such as cranes, backhoes, dozers, trucks, trailers, gas welders, compressors, sedans, light-duty pickups, etc.
- Maintenance will include, but will not be limited to, Auto Body and equipment body panel repair which would also include, diagnostics, adjustment, and repair or replacement, as necessary, to maintain the specified equipment in an acceptable manner.
- Repair will include complete overhauls of internal combustion engines, drive trains, electric and electronic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, brakes, glass replacement, fiberglass and composite repair, and air conditioning systems.
- Assist in the conversion, maintenance, and repair of alternate fuel vehicles and fuel systems.
- Assist with product development initiatives.
- Maintain an active role in all ISMS and VPP programs and initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED and 7 years of Auto Body-related experience in a fleet similar to the INL which includes light duty vehicles, motor coach/ Bus, heavy-duty equipment, OR a Vo-Tech degree with emphasis in Auto Body Repair and 4 years of relevant experience.

- Salary: $41.85/hour (Rate can vary based upon individual work location, clearances, and qualifications. Rates are accurate for current posting and subject to change. These are bargaining unit positions.)
