The Authorization Clerk is responsible for completing prescription, procedure and benefit authorizations.
Duties
- Processes Prescription Authorizations
- Processes Procedure Authorizations
- Checks Patient Eligibility
- Checks Patients Benefit Eligibility
- Schedules Procedures
- Notifies Patients of Scheduled Procedures
- Completes Referrals
- Enters Authorizations into the Computer System
- Demonstrates Good Customer Service Skills
- Performs other duties as assigned
