Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
  • Coursework or experience in theater production.
  • Criminal background clearance for non-students over the age of 18.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge and ability to manage the needs and responsibilities of a 900-seat auditorium.
  • Knowledge and ability to skillfully use ETC Express lighting board.
  • Knowledge and ability to skillfully use GL4000, 40 channel mixing sound board.
  • Knowledge and ability to set-up and run all lighting and sound equipment for plays, concerts, musicals, dance productions, school meetings, assemblies, and community events.
  • Knowledge and ability to schedule and organize the preparation of events.
  • Knowledge and ability to report and recommend lighting and sound equipment repairs and purchases to the district Director of Business Services.
  • Ability to collaborate with events coordinator to ensure set-up is complete, equipment ready, timelines are followed and the event is presented professional and smoothly.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and time scheduled environment.
  • Ability to form a good rapport with students, staff and co-workers.
  • Ability to follow and carry out verbal and written directions.
  • Regular and reliable in person attendance is an essential job function.?
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Central and the building administrator.
  • Onsite management of all school and public events scheduled in the auditorium.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:?Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:?Ability to calculate figures and amounts; ability to compute percentages and to interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:?Personal computer skills necessary. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the school community. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

The employee is directly responsible for safety, well-being, or work output of other people.? Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
