Job Summary

The Audio-Visual Integration Technician is responsible for (1) reading wire diagrams; (2) pulling cables and fiber optic cables; (3) terminating cables; and (4) programing proprietary equipment for the Company’s clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Installs, connects, and manages video routers and switches.
  • Installs PTZ cameras
  • Cuts, pulls and dresses required cables to length
  • Identify and terminate variety of cable types including RBGHV, SVID, Composite, CAT5e and CAT6.
  • Mounts and dresses monitors of various sizes including large wall panels.
  • Service and installation of surgical lights, equipment and anesthesia delivery systems.
  • Installs, connects and manages video routers and switches.
  • Programs various equipment.
  • Troubleshoot client complex mechanical, audio video, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Manage inventory of repair and replacement parts including the recording of serial model numbers
  • Partners with co-workers and management to provide world-class customer service to clients.
  • Complete all assigned projects in a high-quality manner and in compliance with scopes of project assignment.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability                                    
  • Ability to identify cable types including, but not limited to: RBGHV, SVID, Composite, Networking, HD-SDI, Fiber, Power, Control, DVI-D and DVI-I
  • Proficient with cable toner and strip cables
  • Ability to dress racks
  • Proficient in using voltage meter, soldering iron, torque wrench, tone generator, digital level, multimeter and network cable testers/certifiers.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate reflected ceiling plans, elevation drawings and room flow diagrams.
  • Ability to set all-threads and level nuts at correct specifications.
  • Ability to identify and understand various source plates.
  • Owns complete set of all basic hand tools.
  • Knowledge of basics of AC/D voltage
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to use various web-based portals.
  • Ability to fit into tight spaces including ceiling access panels, closets, interstitial spaces
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer programs and operate mobile devices
  • Ability to make sound decisions and escalate matters quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. 

 

Qualification Standards
Education

High School Diploma, technical trade school or equivalent

Experience

Minimum of two years of experience in integration technical environment

 

Mathematical Skills                                     

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Physical Requirements/ Working Environment

The primary working environment is an indoor medical setting. This role requires 100% travel to reach project locations. Employees working in hazardous conditions and areas are required to comply with all applicable safety provisions and to use PPE.

This position is subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. The position is also subject to noise that may cause the worker to shout to be heard above ambient noise level. The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. The worker is subject to vibration. Exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body.

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.

Compensation and Benefits

$23.00 -$30.00 based on experience
