- Partner with the Group Sales department to execute internal and external meetings, conventions, weddings, and non-profit events.
- Responsible for planning and organizing the regularly scheduled entertainment acts for all performances on property.
- Oversee operation and maintenance of all sound and lighting systems.
- Assist in the development of design and production specifications of all group sales events to ensure that a production schedule is maintained and secured.
- Coordinate with other departments and internal/external guests to ensure all AV needs are met and events occur without incident. (Provide logistics for events)
- Provide technical support for AV hardware, control systems, and signal issues to both AV and non-AV team members throughout our property.
- Specify equipment needs for AV programs and events of various sizes.
- When possible, repair equipment power supplies, circuits, consoles, etc. in house to save on costs.
- Attend weekly BEO meetings.
- Maintain current inventory and notify when replacements are needed.
- Keep track of all upcoming Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to determine call times and weekly schedule.
- Assists with daily tasks and helps maintain the property-wide A/V systems.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with departmental and company standards and programs.
- Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to Executive Management/GM.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
- Associate degree (A.A.) in Audio Visual Technology, Marketing, Project Management, or related field; two years’ experience in the AV or Entertainment related; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in multiple communication channels including direct mail, e-mail and social media required. Previous supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
- Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong client interface and presentation skills preferred.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Must have demonstrated ability to drive toward results.
- Ability to work independently, identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends to accommodate business demands.
- Must be willing to work varied shifts to accommodate business demands.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job may or may not have supervisory responsibilities.
- Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
- Provides coaching and counseling to team members.
