What we need...

The Audio/Video Support Specialist at COCC will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for web conferencing systems, both dedicated physical meeting equipment and applications running in our desktop environment. The focus will be on supporting Zoom Meetings and Zoom Phone, but the role will also be responsible for supporting usage of Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, and other meeting technologies, all from both the software and hardware perspective. This role requires a strong understanding of the Zoom platform and audio and video conferencing technologies in general, as well as excellent customer service skills. The Audio/Video Support Specialist will work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth and effective utilization of the collaboration technology during conferences and meetings.

What you'll do...

  • Provide technical support for Zoom conferencing systems, including troubleshooting connectivity issues, meeting room equipment malfunctions, and audio/video quality problems.
  • Provide technical support for Zoom Phone VOIP/Softphone, including troubleshooting connectivity issues, desktop equipment malfunctions (webcams / headsets / etc), and audio/video quality problems inherent in running Zoom in a VDI environment
  • Provide technical support for the use of Zoom Meeting systems in participating in Microsoft Teams, Webex, and other third party conferencing services
  • Provide technical support for the use of Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and other conferencing applications on end user workstations
  • Set up and configure audio and video equipment for meetings and conferences, ensuring proper functionality and optimal performance.
  • Monitor and maintain audio and video systems, including regular testing and preventive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical requirements and provide recommendations for audio and video solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio and video systems, both remotely and on-site.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest audio and video technologies and industry trends to ensure the company's systems are cutting-edge and efficient.
  • Document and maintain records of audio and video equipment inventory, repairs, and configurations.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of special events and conferences that require audio and Video Support.
  • Occasional travel is required to support special events and conferences.

What you'll bring...

  • Bachelors degree is preferred for this role but will consider appropriate work experience and/or relevant certifications
  • Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in Zoom Meeting and Zoom Phone
  • Strong working knowledge of iOS and Android Devices (both phones and tablets).
  • Ideal candidate will also have experience with Logitech conference hardware running Zoom
  • Experience with troubleshooting audio and video connectivity issues, equipment malfunctions, and audio/video quality problems.
  • Proficient in operating and configuring audio and video equipment, including cameras, microphones, speakers, and video codecs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and protocols related to audio and video conferencing.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Salary Range for this role is $65,000-$85,000 per year
