- Provide technical support for events and meetings.
- Operate audio and video equipment for live televised and webcast government meetings, news conferences and events; prioritize camera shots and ensure a quality broadcast/webcast.
- Troubleshoot AV networks, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
- Assist staff in proper use of browser-based audio-video conferencing systems such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom and WebEx and in proper use of related equipment, including projectors, monitors and microphones.
- Assist in production of live television and webcasting and in video shoots; may include editing video footage, exporting videos to current digital formats for television broadcast and website video streaming, and editing and filing video footage in an orderly manner.
- Assist in the research, selection and installation of new technologies to meet changing AV system needs.
- Perform related work, as required.
Acts as a director, camera operator and video switcher for live televised and webcast County events.
Works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
Requires an Associate's degree or specialized courses/training equivalent to satisfactory completion of two (2) years of college in video production or closely related field.
Requires six (6) years in filming, editing, manipulating and converting video or closely related experience.
Special Certifications and Licenses
- Bachelor Degree or higher in video production, audio-visual technologies or closely related field
- Industry certifications including Certified Technology Specialist (CTS-I) - pertains to installation of AV systems & equipment); QSC Systems (Level 1-2 or control training); Dante Certification Level 3 and CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certificate Network Association (CCNA)
- Experience troubleshooting in integrated audio visual networks, systems and applications.
- Experience in live television broadcasts/webcasts using Crestron Controls and QSC System DSP and Control.
- Experience supporting end users in using virtual meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx and Adobe Connect.
- 2+ years of experience with digital distribution, including live and Video on Demand streaming platforms
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Basic skill level using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Serves as a liaison with staff across the organization for technical/audio-video consulting and troubleshooting purposes; provides direction and guidance to individuals supporting media equipment during televised events; prepares media resources for planned meetings.
Operates broadcast grade multi-source edit system, special effects, digital effects generations, video graphics and tilting systems, and audio sweetening systems to produce broad cast quality programming.
Produces and supervises all "on air" televised and webcast events for the County; updates program schedule; provides audio-visual support for any broadcast press conferences.
Prepares and sets up meeting room technical and audio-visual equipment for media resources requested by meeting planners; consults on Power Points to be broadcast or/and displayed.
Creates programs by filming meetings and events to be viewed by the public; provides direction to County staff on broadcasting operations for County meetings and press conferences.
Assists County personnel and citizens in conducting meetings in regards to audio, video, and phone conferencing.
