Audio Software Engineer (Fixed Term Contract)

We know our games will be at their best when a variety of voices, identities, and perspectives go into their creation, so come join us!
We are focused on staying nimble and therefore highly value engineers who can navigate a variety of engineering and game development challenges. For this role your primary focus will be helping the audio team bring sound and music into the game. You'll work with a cross-disciplinary team of engineers and audio designers to build systems that enable gameplay and user interface to come alive with sound.
This is a temporary role for an estimated duration of 6 months. Potential for an extension will be based on business needs.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with audio designers, engineers, and game designers to bring audio to life within the game
- Create and hook-up sound events for gameplay and UI
- Engineer systems that enable new ways of playing SFX within the game
- Implement systems for supporting music playback
- Build tools and processes to enable audio designers to work more efficiently
- Manage Wwise library integration including future updates
- Assist with Wwise project management and configuration
What you'll need:
- Solid background in C# and .NET
- Experience supporting audio in games using the Unity engine
- Experience using the Audiokinetic Wwise sound engine to build games
- Experience with source control systems such as Git or Perforce
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment
Bonus if you have it:
- Experience developing across multiple platforms including mobile, PC, and consoles
- Experience with Unity's animation and timeline systems
- Experience doing sound design for games

The base salary range for this position is $72,786 to $121,310 USD per year, which is associated with our Level 2 salary band. The range listed for this position is just one component of Dreamhaven's total compensation package for team members and exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience. Total compensation also includes equity, comprehensive benefits and will also include profit sharing in the future.
