POSITION OVERVIEW
The Attractions Attendant is responsible for the safety and operations of attractions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Only operate attractions when certified (on-the-job training).
- Operate assigned attraction in accordance with company policy and procedure, state and federal regulations and safety protocols.
- Explain and enforces attractions rules and safety regulations including age and height restrictions, as necessary.
- Maintain and issues the proper equipment for the attraction (if needed).
- Control attraction while in progress and constantly monitors the attraction while in operation.
- Assists Guests in and out of attraction in a safe manner.
- Ensures that unauthorized personnel do not start rides or assist Guests.
- Inspect attractions and notify management immediately if mechanical or electronic problems are present.
- Ensure emergency matters are brought to the attention of the supervisor or manager on duty immediately.
- Cooperate with area supervisors to ensure the safety of Team Members and Guests.
- Assist Guests with inquiries, and always maintains good Guest relations.
- Provides first aid assistance, if certified, and notify area supervision.
- Maintain acceptable level of cleanliness and organization in immediate and surrounding work areas.
- Perform opening and closing procedures in assigned areas. Perform other duties as required.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 16 years of age or older and have reliable transportation.
- Experience in the guest service industry, with demonstrated ability to ensure customer satisfaction and handle guest concerns is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to calculate and count, read, and comprehend.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with effective follow-through.
- Demonstrated ability to see, hear, talk clearly, and write legibly. Bilingual is a plus.
- Ability to represent the best face of the organization to the public.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
