Job Summary:

As a Manager on Duty (MOD) reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the profitability, safety, and overall enjoyment of our park's guests. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, with a primary focus on overseeing daily park operations, including ride maintenance, revenue management, and park cleanliness. In this role, MODs operate in both indoor and outdoor environments, where they undertake administrative responsibilities and foster positive interactions with staff and guests alike.

About the Role:

As a Manager on Duty (MOD) at Fun Spot Entertainment, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring that our theme park operates smoothly and delivers a memorable experience to every guest. This role is more than just a job; it's a pivotal position within our organization, where you will contribute to the park's profitability, safety, and overall enjoyment of our visitors. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you'll play a key role in upholding the high standards that Fun Spot America is known for.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

 

Oversee all Park Operations

You'll be in charge of the big picture, overseeing all aspects that make our park tick. From hiring and supervising employees to managing the security team, your leadership will be instrumental in creating a seamless guest experience.

 

Continuous Improvement

We believe in always striving for excellence. You'll be responsible for identifying areas where we can enhance park operations, from safety protocols to marketing initiatives. Your input and ideas will help us continuously elevate the guest experience.

Safety and Guest Satisfaction

Safety is our top priority, and you'll play a crucial role in maintaining up-to-date safety checks and implementing policies to ensure our guests feel secure and comfortable. Exceptional guest service is equally important, and you'll help create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone who visits our park.

 

Team Leadership

Leading by example is a fundamental aspect of this role. Working closely with our team members in both indoor and outdoor settings, you'll motivate and guide them to uphold our commitment to safety, cleanliness, and fun.

 

Financial Responsibility

Cash control and financial performance are essential aspects of this role. You'll be entrusted with ensuring the park operates within budgetary guidelines, contributing to its overall profitability.

 

Schedule Management

The ability to create and manage schedules is vital to ensuring adequate staffing levels and efficient park operations.

 

Problem Solving and Decision Making

Quick thinking and the ability to troubleshoot and make decisions under pressure, especially in busy and fast-paced environments, are key attributes of a successful MOD.

 

Project Management

You'll be responsible for meeting tight project management deadlines, ensuring that tasks and initiatives are completed efficiently.

 

Accountability

Ultimately, you'll be accountable for the financial performance of the park, and your leadership will be instrumental in its success.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Mobility: Swift movement throughout the theme park, covering extensive distances during shifts (walking, standing, occasional running).
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, using proper techniques.
  • Climbing: Negotiating stairs, ladders, or elevated platforms as necessary.
  • Manual Dexterity: Operating equipment, handling paperwork, and using computer systems.
  • Visual Acuity: Identifying safety hazards and responding promptly.
  • Auditory Awareness: Effective communication via radios and intercom systems.
  • Weather Tolerance: Adapting to outdoor conditions.
  • Physical Endurance: Maintaining high energy and alertness.
  • Emergency Response: Assisting with evacuations, first aid, or other emergencies.
