Special Consultants

Position Details 

Special Consultants - Part-time employees working on a temporary basis of up to one year with the possibility of extension.

Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Head Coach, prepare for camps and teach the fundamentals of sport specific skills
to camp participants in groups and individually.

FLSA: Exempt

CSU Classification Salary Range: $124.00 - $1,250 per day

Hiring Range/Rate: $124.00 - $1,250 per day

Salary Grade/Range: 0

Time Base: Daily

Work Hours: Per-diem

Department Information 

With a current student population of approximately 30,000, Sacramento State, the capital University, is one of the larger campuses in the 23-campus California State University system, the largest system of higher education in the nation. The Athletic Department at Sacramento State supports 21 NCAA division 1 athletic teams and includes over 450 student athletes competing in the Big Sky, Big West, and the Western Athletic Conference.

Required Qualifications 
  1. Excellent customer service skills.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively.
  3. Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  4. Ability to establish rapport with a variety of groups.
  5. Knowledge of sport specific skills.

Conditions of Employment

  • Must be able to pass a background check and LiveScan.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry 25lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at https://www.csus.edu/clery . 
The ASR contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for Sacramento State for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the Police Service Center located in the University Union.
