Form of workSeeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to provide Athletic Training Services at our Drayer Physical Therapy clinic located inside the Student Recreation Center at the University of Alabama. Main Duties:
- Provides Athletic Training coverage for all University of Alabama club and intramural athletes, as well as The Million Dollard Band, color guard, and Crimsonettes. This coverage includes on-field/off-field coverage, as needed.
- Participates in other campus events, as needed, such as Freshman Orientation, on campus non UA athletic events, etc.
- Set and implement personal marketing goals to develop relationships and secure sports medicine contracts.
- Assist with treatment of athletes and orthopedic injuries as directed by the prescribing physician.
- Provide sports medicine consultation to athletes, parents and others, as requested.
- Conduct athletic training/sports medicine workshops, as requested.
- Maintain daily records of treatments and document progress notes on patients.
- Assist with the care of the rehabilitation department and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Current athletic training license or eligible in state of position.
- Current certification by and in good standing with the Board of Certification.
- Demonstrates competency in applying the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in athletic training.
- CPR Certified
- Strong decision and problem solving skills, interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing and the ability to interface successfully with various individuals.
- Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- Excellent organizational and listening skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
