As an Athletic TrainerIntern,staff should expect to work under a certified Athletic Trainer.Responsibilitiesinclude;the day-to-day care of injuries andmedical emergenciesthat occur on camp facilities for campers, staff,guests,and visiting athletes. Within this role there are varying degrees of processes in which must be understood and prioritized in order to successfully achieve the daily operations of this department. Athletic Trainer Interns should be knowledgeable in the injuries and sport injury prevention.

BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS:
- As a requirement of this position, pre-hire criminal history clearances are collected from the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH) system, child abuse clearances are obtained through the Department of Public Welfare, and federal history is taken through FBI fingerprint screening.
- Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs.
- Ability to work within confined spaces.
- Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Camp Attendance Requirements (June 9th - August 24th):
- Minimum commitment of 4 weeks.
Job Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and beknowledgeableresourceof current and proposed standards of practice and state guidelines of Athletic Trainers
- Ensuring adherence to HIPPA standards
- Follow all instructions of thecertifiedAthletic Trainers.
- Contribute to overall organization and administration of the athletic training room in conjunction with other assigned staff
- Responsible for scheduling and follow-up evaluation and check-in appointments
- Maintains Woodward safety logs, operational sheets and incident logs
- Provide, alongside a Certified Athletic Trainer,on-call overnight coverage on a rotational basis every night via phone and radio coverage
- Other duties as assigned

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS::
- Enrolled in an accredited athletic training education program.
- Have 1+ years of experience working with kids and/or teens.
- Health and Safety Certifications
- Strong interpersonal skills. Able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
