- As a requirement of this position, pre-hire criminal history clearances are collected from the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH) system, child abuse clearances are obtained through the Department of Public Welfare, and federal history is taken through FBI fingerprint screening.
- Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs.
- Ability to work within confined spaces.
- Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Camp Attendance Requirements (June 9th - August 24th):
- Minimum commitment of 4 weeks.
Job Requirements
- Maintain and beknowledgeableresourceof current and proposed standards of practice and state guidelines of Athletic Trainers
- Ensuring adherence to HIPPA standards
- Follow all instructions of thecertifiedAthletic Trainers.
- Contribute to overall organization and administration of the athletic training room in conjunction with other assigned staff
- Responsible for scheduling and follow-up evaluation and check-in appointments
- Maintains Woodward safety logs, operational sheets and incident logs
- Provide, alongside a Certified Athletic Trainer,on-call overnight coverage on a rotational basis every night via phone and radio coverage
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision, agile and able to pivot quickly.
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility and accountability.
- Strong attention to detail and safety.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with diverse groups of people.
- Enrolled in an accredited athletic training education program.
- Have 1+ years of experience working with kids and/or teens.
- Health and Safety Certifications
- Strong interpersonal skills. Able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
