Job Summary:
The Athletic Trainer-FC Tulsa will work with the FC Tulsa Soccer team. The Athletic Trainer's normal place of workshall be at FC Tulsa field and training site. This individual will alsotravel to meetings and conventions to maintain CEU credit for NATA. Work schedule will vary according to practice and event schedules. These canchange depending on availability of facilities and weather changes. Athleticevents will take place on weekends and holidays. Prevention of athletic injuries and illnesses. Evaluation of athletic injuries. Treatment & Rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Counseling and education of student athletes. Athletic Training Administrative duties to be determined. Assist with the coordination of medical coverage for workouts, practices &home and away games including scheduling of student and graduate assistantAthletic Trainers. Supervision, education and recruitment of Undergraduate and Masters Level athletictrainers.
Environmental Hazards:
Infectious disease, heat, contact with participants such as on thesidelines of a meet and/or practice. Possibility of hot, cold or rainy conditions during athletic events. Noise canalso be a factor during athletic events.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift in excess of 100 lbs. Extensive amount of time standing each day.

Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Required:
-Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Healthcare Administration, Health/Physical Education,Sports Medicine/Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy
-Post Graduate Athletic Training Experience
-Certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Board of Certification and/or American Physical Therapy Association
-Prior to hire: Licensed by the state of Oklahoma as a Certified Athletic Trainer
Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
-Strong analytical, written and verbal communication and interpersonalskills combined with the ability to interact with diverse department,University and community constituencies
-Ability to direct and perform confidential detailed work with accuracy underdeadline pressure
-Extensive knowledge of OSHA guidelines and universal precautions.
-Extensive amount of time standing per day and a willingness to workextended hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
-Must be able to deal with heat and changing weather precautions and ability todirect personnel in case of severe weather
-Ability to manage and direct multiple personnel and tasks at one time
-Experience and knowledge of organizing strength programs, especially forinjured student athletes
-Working knowledge of basic word processing, spreadsheet, and database function
-National and international travel is required.
-Work schedule will vary according to practice and event schedules. These canchange depending on availability of facilities and weather changes. Athleticevents will take place after business hours, on weekends, and on holidays.
Preferred:
-Master's degree in Exercise Science, Healthcare Administration, Health/Physical Education,Sports Medicine/Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy
-At least 2 years of Athletic Training Experience.
-Experience workingwith Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapist
