Athletic Officials Coordinator
ENTRY-LEVEL SALARY: $49,505 annually

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent.
- Five (5) years’ experience supervising others, preferably in athletic or related activities.
- Possession of or ability to obtain an appropriate Driver's License as required by State Law.
- Must participate in CPR training and acquire CPR certifications during the probationary period and be recertified each year or two years as required by certifying organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Recruits, hires, trains, assigns work to, and evaluates a wide variety of Athletic Officials (e.g., basketball, baseball, softball, etc.) and related personnel (e.g., field workers, scorekeepers, gym & field supervisors, park and rental supervisors, quarry personnel, etc.).
Prepares and conducts rules meetings for game personnel staff for the various athletic programs offered by the Parks and Recreation Department.
Ensures that all sponsored games have appropriate and adequate officials.
Reviews employee time cards (physical & electronic) to ensure accuracy.
Assists Athletics Coordinator with planning and coordinating City-sponsored events, programs, leagues, etc. at City facilities.
Conducts annual and as needed training clinics for officials in group settings and individually.
Coordinates meetings with various youth and adult sports organizations and serves as ongoing contact with partners.
Schedules use of various sports and athletic fields under the jurisdiction of the Parks and Recreation Department.
Aids in developing and implementing innovative efforts to grow and improve programming and communications.
Aids in placing work orders when deficiencies or issues are noted at all city facilities (parks, ballfields, buildings, etc.).
Ability to travel from one location to another throughout a day.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
Assists Athletic Coordinator with inventory of athletics equipment.
Performs related work as required.

Pay: $49,505.00 - $79,208.00 per year
