Job Description
Salary:
- 1 – 3 years experience in accounting and auditing.
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field.
- CPA license or candidacy a bonus.
- Understanding and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Involvement in all aspects of the firm’s accounting and auditing practice, as well as daily client engagement activities.
- Timely communication with all members of internal engagement team and appropriate client personnel.
- Ability to apply learned auditing procedures (under applicable standards) in performing audits, reviews, or compilations of financial statements.
- Participate and provide input in planning meetings.
- Adhere to firm’s quality control policies and procedures.
- Help identify and deliver proper reporting and opinions on financial statements, as applicable.
- Develop familiarity with firm’s policies, procedures, forms, and online tools/software.
- Ability to multi-task while working independently or within a group environment.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, critical thinking, time management, and analytic skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn from experienced professionals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (or similar software), Adobe Acrobat, and accounting software (QuickBooks and UltraTax preferred).
- Hybrid work models available, but must be able to travel within New Jersey for occasional client engagements.
