Asst. Director of Therapeautic Recreation

Asst. Director of Therapeutic Recreation required skills:

• Must be knowledgeable about working with Dementia and Alzheimer’s residents.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist is also accepted.
• Able to create a Therapeutic Recreation Calendar utilizing the processes of Therapeutic Recreation.

• Knowledge of Recreation clinical documentation
• Knowledge of Resident Rights
• Maintain a positive morale and a genuine upbeat work environment
• Self- starter, creative , accountability, integrity
• Practice positive employee relations
• Team player , time management ,
• Strong organization and planning skills; ability to muti-task

§ Trains, supervises, disciplines staff involved with programming during different shifts to address resident behavioral management and quality of life issues.

§ Encourages hobbies and provides materials and supplies to our resident papulation

• Instructs and supervises residents during programs
